I got it working now, yeesh. I had it associated to MfgSys.exe version 8 client, however whenever I'd set a new association in Windows Vista to the Epicor 9, it wouldn't take and update the path to the new location.
Then there's no way to completely destroy an association that I could see in Windows Vista (groan) so I had to download a utility that would let me edit it.
One thing I found out, if you don't have Epicor 9 running first and you click on the link, it fires up Mfgsys.exe and then leaves the process stranded in the background after you close the single window.
However, if you have Epicor running first, it will piggyback on that existing running process and not leave zombies.
