Vantage 901 patch

We loaded the 901 patch at the beginning of the week and had no
problem loading or with the schema changes. We have however
experienced some significant problems with MRP creating spurious WIP
jobs on our first run after the upgrade. If one deletes these jobs
they keep recreating after each regen. We have established that it is
attempting to raise jobs to satisfy all of the closed or voided order
releases that we have shipped from stock on the system on all parts
instead of just open releases. This has now been passed from support
to development so hopefully wont be too long. If your orders are all
direct from jobs no problem with this - otherwise caution recommended
for now. Hope this helps.

I will be installing patch 901 for Vantage this Sunday. Can anyone tell me
if you have had problems installing a patch for it? and also the Schema
changes problems?!?

Did you do the schema changes just like what the instruction showed? and did
you have any ini file not found or prowin32 not found error?

Yes, I did do the schema changes. I had to vantage wouldn't let me restart
without doing so first. It had no errors running, and only took a couple of
minutes. I did try it like the instructions said but it gave me an error.
Startup file not found or some such thing, but when I went back to my
computer, not the server and clicked on the schema changes it ran just fine.
But the error wan't an ini file or prowin, at least not on our system.
Alright, thanks a lot.

I installed the patch 901 last night. Followed the instructions didn't have
any problems. The schema change was quick. The directions said it could
take up to 30 minutes for a 200 MB DB to convert when you first access it,
but it was only minutes for my 500+ MB DB. Maybe because I was coming from
812, which I think already had a big change made.
