Vantage BOM Report - Pregress vs Crystal

I have created a SQL query that generates a multi-level BOM, but it
requires MSSQL 2005, as it relies on a SQL language feature, Common Table
Expressions (CTE) that is only available there.

If folks are interested in can send it along (I don¹t have the query handy
at the moment).

Hi,

As everyone on vs 8 knows, the BOM report is a Progress report which obviouslly has it's limitations. The main one being it is virtually impossible to edit.

The main reason I need to edit or re-create it is so I can see the WHOLE of my part number instead of it being truncated at 24 characters on the standard Vantage Report.

Has anybody managed to create a Crystal BOM report with multi-levels etc?

I look forward to receiving any info.

Dear Chris:

I created a single-level BAQ and Crystal BOM report. I would be
willing to share both the BAQ and the CR. Unfortunately, I never had
time to develop a multi-level BOM. Developing the single-level one
was complicated and time-consuming enough.

I am on Vantage 8.03.404 and CR 11.5.

Let me know if you are interested in the single-level BOM & I will
send everything direct to you, off-line.
