Vantage Error

Every time I load a custom form, I get an error concerning (I think
anyway) Foreign Keys.

Here it is:

Error Detail

Invalid FKView registration, count of Binding strings must match
ValidationType from ContextMenu.xml

If anyone has seen this error or knows how to get rid of it, that
would help me a lot!

I currently have 0 foreign key views, so I dont know what the problem
is...

Not much to report. I recently purged data from 1996 to 2000 (GL detail, Labor Detail) before converting from 5.1 to 6.1.

Before you notice a decrease in size of the db you'll need to do a dump & load. I was a little surprised that I only freed up about 300M on a 1.4G db.

I am trying to migrate Vantage to my new server. (Tyan Thunder k8we with
Twin Dual Core 64 bit Opteron equals 4 1800mhz chips AMD chips, 4 Gigs of
DDR ram) Everything transferred of smoothly and started up fine. However,
after the 4th user logs on the client gets " BROKER: COULD NOT START SERVER
(1890) " . Licenses are correctly installed. Settings duplicate the
working install which runs just fine. I'd call support but wiser minds than
mine decided not to pay that bill. Any ideas?

What version of Progress / Vantage are you using ?

Follow this link and goto page 17 or scan for 1890.
Sounds like there was addressed with 9.1C if I'm reading this correctly.

we are on 6.1/9.1D

This may sound crazy, but do you have all your license information for
Windows 2003 server entered in. Most come with a 5 pack of Client Access
Licenses. You may need to purchase more??

Licensing is fine for both server and Vantage. But based on another reply,
I may go to 9.1D for Progress, which I have.

Just a heads up... I'm thinking there is a patch for 9.1d that you will need
to run after installation. Were running 9.1D on 2003 server and it seems to
be stable.
