Vantage Installation Error Message

Hi Gilda,

I've had this problem in the past. You should be able to log anyone else
onto Vantage except the user whose workstation it is. What I had to do
was delete the user in question and then add them again. Worked for me.

I am hoping someone can give me some feedback on what I need to do. I
have
a single workstation on which I don't seem to be able to install
Vantage.
All goes well with the installation but when I try to start a session I
get
an error message "Unable to create socket errno=0 (781)". This is the
only
workstation where I have had this problem. Ideas???

Which OS & Vantage version?

TCP/IP installed correctly? Is the install routine adding the correct
entry to the services file?

3.00 and Win98. And yes TCP/IP installed okay. Yes, install routine added
the correct entry to services file.

That kind of error is generated when, you have the wrong drive letter
mapped, the data base is shutdown, or the workstation cannot connect to the
server for some reason. Most likely a drive mapping error.
