Verifying Costing Information

Marty,

First make sure all of your resources and groups have labor and burden
in them...if they do then you are good to go. If not, identify which
groups/resources do not have it, then do a report for any part that uses
these resources.

Would be much easier to see a smaller list than to go through every
part!

Is there a report I can run that will list By Operation what my
standard cost is for a part?

We are in the process of rolling up our standard costs for the first
time and we want to make sure each operation of a part has Labor and
Burden charged to it. Right now when I run "Bill of Material Cost
Report" indented level. I get our material cost broken out for the
part # but labor and burden is just in total of all the operations.
Our Controller wants to make sure each operation has labor and burden
charged to it. Other then trying to do it by hand (which I haven't
done yet) I haven't found another way in vantage that will give me
this information. We have hundreds of parts and I really don't want
prove out each part by hand.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks.

That would be a custom report. It is relatively simple to do. Using the
PartOpr table in Version 6.1 and earlier, it can be done with Progress
report builder. Version 8.0 and later you'll need to use Crystal or a BAQ.
Remember that the standard shows as labor time on the part operation, the
burden is a function of that labor standard; the rate resides in your work
centers in 6.1 and Resources/Resource Groups in 8.X.
