W-2 processing

We are on version 4.0, patch 811. We are using a Lexmark laser to print
them on.

We are trying to run W-2's, but are having trouble getting them to line up
correctly. We have called for help, but their solutions were to try to
modify the page setup (unsuccessful) or install the newest driver for that
printer (didn't work either). The data is printed about 2 letters too far
to the left and about one line too low. I thought I had heard of someone
that exported the W-2 information to an Excel file and printed them from
Excel. Can anyone help? We have run the W-2's for the last three years
with little trouble. Last year they were slightly off, but within
tolerable ranges. This year they are even further off. We are running
them on forms ordered from Epicor, so hopefully it is not the forms.

We pick up the prw2dtl.dbf file after a print preview of w2's in a mail merge to
a Word 6 document. I will email you the files later however this may not solve
your problem. The printer we use, DFX 8000, has parameters for margins. By
setting these I could move the image on the page until it was where I needed
it.
We use 2 wide W2 form that are tractor fed. So you will have to modify the
doc file significantly. I've also found that moving from printer to printer give
different results.
