W2 Question with older Vantage versions

We are using Vantage 5.1 and have run into a problem with how the
program creates these since the IRS keeps changing the rules. How are
other companies circumventing the issue of 2 letter codes for W2 boxes
12 a-d? Also there is no way we have found to separate the reporting
of Roth contributions and 401k contributions. Any ideas are
