What does it take to enable MFA for the Epicor Client installed on a desktop?

Hello,
I am trying to figure out what it would take to get MFA for Epicor client login.
Can anyone help?
Not sure where to start with it.

You need to have MFA set up on your own login system like Azure AD (Entra ID) and then integrate that signon with Epicor.

How do I integrate the azure ad into the desktop client?

There’s documentation on epicweb about this . . . its complicated.

Like Alisa said, it’s in the Kinetic Install guide. We do it with Entra (Azure AD) for both the client and the web. Just follow the directions. The most complicated part is getting the correct return URLs correct as they are case-sensitive. Try it out and ask questions if you have any issues.

I happened to have this open

I thought they did an excellent job in the guides for this. We’ve been using Azure for a few months now with no issue. I learned from only the guide and this site .

Oh yes. But even with that, there will be an error that lets you know what URL it was looking for. So it’s not totally shooting in the dark.

This is exactly what I was looking for!

I opened a ticket with support previously and they didn’t direct me to this.

I appreciate you pointing me to this site!

Thank you,

Shawn
