What is the correct way to change pricing on a partially shipped sales order lIne? The majority of our sales orders have mutiple releases under each line. We are new to Epicor and need to change prices on several parts. This week we partially shipped a release before the price change (old price = $120.00) , then changed the price (new price = $125.00) at the line level and in the Price List. The next day when finance invoiced the shipment that shipped before the change was made the invoice shows the new $125.00 pricing. How do you change prices without the price change affecting shipments that were made previously?
I think you need to create new lines if your price changes. At least, if you have already shipped from that line. If you haven’t shipped, you can change the price. Once you ship even one piece, just transfer the demand to a new line with updated pricing. This maintains your history better too.
