What is the point of Load Leveling if the next time MRP runs everything is rescheduled anyways?
I could see it being useful if individual Job Operations could be schedule locked or if the Global Scheduling process could be ran for only certain resources.
The MRP Scheduling Engine does NOT reschedule firmed jobs. It only schedules unfirm jobs, and if you are using Finite Scheduliing, it will only schedule them in holes that already exist in your capacity.

Thanks for pointing that out… I had forgotten about that.
That was helpful as we have changed the task schedules so that Global Scheduling runs on Sunday Evening and then the Planner Load Levels the next week or two Monday Morning on certain Resources, which is working nicely… but now… they’d like that Load Level each Monday to be automated… which seems reasonable since the parameters for the load leveling can be determined… It will be interesting to see if that is possible.
Thanks again Ernie!
