Thanks in particular for the hyperlinks, I think I now pretty much
understand all the options.
And, if you're interested, I think I'll be sticking with RAID 1, Mirroring.
We currently have this set-up with just 2x9Gb. A local hardware supplier
took offence when I said I'd have to read up on his reccomendation to go
with RAID 4... he seems to think Mirroring is "a poor man's RAID" - I think
he's seeing it only from the technical side, i.e. it's not the cleverest
form of RAID.
Thanks also to Dan for the information in regards to Progress. I never knew
that they expected Mirroring and Duplexing. Seems a bit OTT...
