Windows 2000 & C:\vntgwork

Create a simple batch file and put it in the startup folder under the
All Users profile.

On my WIN98 PC's I delete the "C:\vntgwork" and recreate it in the
AUTOEXEC.bat file. What's the best way to occasionally purge this directory
under Window2000?

My Windows 2000 computer still has an autoexec.bat, it's just a hidden file. Set Windows Explorer to view all files. Then you can right click-Edit autoexec.bat.

Good luck

You can use an RD /S on NT in place of the missing DelTree, or check this:
http://www.jsiinc.com/tip0600/rh0617.htm

for a fancy version. I'm not sure what the preferred substitute for
Autoexec is. You could put it in the user's startup menu.

Pat,

If you put the cleanup commands in a login script file it becomes automatic
for everyone when they sign on.

If you're interested, I can show you how to set it up.
