Windows XP SP3 and V 8.03.405A

Yep, that is it. I have now set permissions on c:\client803 to full
control for all domain users. This way, the auto update works
without issue.

Have a good day!

Last night I updated our software to 8.03.405A. We were on 8.03.403D.

Everything went well, except 2 Windows XP machines. Both machines give
an error...file`c:\client803\client\config\backup\default.mfgsys' is
currently locked.
Any ideas?

I did ask support. They have not seen this issue. I also learned that
Vista/Vantage are not yet supported on Windows XP SP3 yet. Apparently
in testing there have been some printing errors. Windows Vista and SP1
are both approved.

I've been installing SP3 here for a couple weeks and not found any
show-stoppers. In fact, I've not found any problems at all.

I encountered this just a few hours ago. I don't know if the PC in
question has SP3 on it but the error message was the same. I logged
into the PC using the domain admin account and then activated the
update. It ran without a problem.

I then reverted to the user account and they were able to use Vantage.

Does anyone know how to grab the user's id and use it in a BPM?

Thanks!

ASSIGN table.file = DCD-USERID.

Replace the table and file with the table and file you want to use this 4gl
code in.
