At first i thought it was MRP that pushed the job through to the WIP report.
I was wrong.
In the TEST database and talking to a colleague, i created a new job tracking steps and running the WIP report to see what the trigger was.
It appears the trigger is a transaction movement…so firstly
i created a job, firmed it up, marked it as engineered, marked it as released, scheduled it, added a start date, printed the job traveller, ensured it had a qty to produce of 3…printed the wip report and nothing. Didn’t appear.
Secondly, added a material…it didn’t appear in the WIP report.
Thirdly added an op…it didn’t appear in the WIP report.
Booking some time OR issuing some material OR marking it as complete did the trick and it appeared in the WIP report.
