Working as Designed, The Musical

@askulte made a special request over on another post for this. I just wanted to share here for mass consumption.

Submit another ticket to the void
Another error message to avoid
“Have you tried turning it off and on?”
The same response since time unknown

CHORUS:
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Your suffering’s been pre-defined
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Trapped in digital chains that bind

Enterprise Resource Planning hell
Each module’s got its own story to tell
Click through screens of endless forms
“This behavior follows platform norms”

CHORUS:
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Your suffering’s been pre-defined
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Trapped in digital chains that bind

BREAKDOWN:
Error code 5-0-9
They say the system’s working fine
Deadline’s breathing down my neck
Support just sent another tech

(Spoken with growing intensity)
“According to our documentation…
This is expected behavior…
The system is performing…
WORKING! AS! DESIGNED!”

CHORUS:
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Your suffering’s been pre-defined
W! A! D!
Working as Designed!
Forever trapped in ERP’s grind

Bruh, this slaps. No cap. (Is that how the kids say it? Am I doing this right?)

Seriously, though. Good stuff.

that is sweet!! Love the euro-goth-metal structure!

This part of the song with the vocal effect was the cherry on top.

Cant agree more! Definitely my favorite part as well!

Totally! I also liked this part as it’s so true!

Outro scene suggestion:

Support can’t work on that but you should definitely add it to Ideas

Oh now we’ve gone and done it. Logging in to epiccare just now redirected me to this page:

User, support thyself, I guess? Just bracing for impact over here before those tickets start rolling in.

This has happened a lot to me when logging to Epiccare I definitely need to be getting the support not giving it. It’s a glitch right, and not the new version of their support portal?

It’s an easy glitch to get out of, trim everything after “.com” off the url and you’ll end up in the right place. It happens, usually something about using blanket credentials to connect users to content. Similarly, some epicweb links used to drop you into their sharepoint.

Back to topic; support once suggested making an Idea out of a working SQL injection proof of concept. (I did not)
