I have been using 9 for months for reporting. They probably mean you cannot
use it for forms.

What version of Vantage are you using Crystal 9.0 with? Tech support told me
I could not use 9.0 with 6.1. I have 9.0 running on a test server I
discovered I can join tables from 2 dbf data sources that I was not able to
do in 8.5. I would like to use 9.0 in a live environment.

I have done it right in the database in vantage, however now I use crystal
9.0 and it accepts the larger field unmodified.
