Says Access Denied. The user [DOMAIN][USER ID] is authorized with No access rights. Please check your license and users file. I am not sure why we are getting this error.
Do you have access to the licensing server to see which users have which rights? Is this XLConnect 5 or 7?
Yes, and this is 5.
What I have had to do in the past was validate the users through the content installer tool. Once that is launched I click “Admin Tool”, I validate the License and click configure users. Sometimes I need to rerun this to get the database permissions to work. If this still doesn’t work I would check your SQL Server users and ensure that user was created by the XL Connect tool as sometimes it does not work.
So, the settings got changed and I had to reset the settings. I didn’t think to look there or pay much attention to it as it was working before I left for Insights. However, today I was informed while I was out, this person received a new computer. That changes everything. Taught me, look at everything, rule nothing out until you have verified it.
