Yahoo egroups Author display

You know, more than privacy, I just didn't want to stand out like a
sore thumb and have everyone think that I didn't know how to set up
my name. But I guess it's too late for that. Anyway, I'll follow
your lead and list my complete name.

How do I get the Author field in message to display my name rather
than my email address?
First, you need to make sure that you have a Yahoo! ID. If you haven't done
that yet, go to www.egroups.com and there will be links to help you through
the process.

Once you have a Yahoo! ID, go to profiles.yahoo.com/<your Yahoo! ID> where
you can edit your profile to show your "real name." This is what should
show on messages and on the web site.

I saw a field to enter my real name, which I did, but I didn't see a
button to select that it gets displayed.

Your name showed up on your latest email, and
it had you address when you first posted. I think
you got it.

I'm glad that the change worked for you. Just FYI - your Yahoo Account Info
is info that Yahoo! wants to know about you; your profile info is what is
displayed for everyone else. You could set your profile Real Name to "Chris
L. @ Contour" if for some reason you didn't want people on the list to know
your full name. This just gives you a bit more control over your privacy.
