Zetafax

Well, version 6 will run on a Windows NT 4.0 server. You would have
to check the Equisys web site to verify that version 8 will too.

Okay-I convinced my boss to get zetafax. This is the program, if I
remember correctly, that some of you recommended in response to my
question about faxing software. My question now, is which version do
I get? I only have 5 people in the office, will have no need in the
future to add more people:
<<Equisys Zetafax Version 8.0 5 User Starter System>>-does this
sound like the right one to buy?
And just out of curiosity, how will I be faxing straight out of
vantage? Is it like and additional printer (like my pdffactory)?

thanks-

Michelle,
Yes that sounds like the correct version.
As far as faxing, in version 6 you need to have the Zetafax client
running on the PC, but you send faxes from any program (Word, Excel,
etc.) by "printing" them to the Zetafax printer that is installed
during the client install.
I would guess it's the same in version 8.

Michelle,
Yes, this is network-based. You can install the Zetafax server on
any Windows 2000 Pro PC or server. You just have to share the folders
and the client will be able to view the faxes.
We have v. 6 running on an NT Workstation and it works great!

Darryl, will this run on a Win NT *server*? We are running NT 4.0 on the
server, and have XP on the workstations. (the owner wont break down and pay
the money for 2000 server. The only reason we have xp on all the
workstations is that it came pre-installed when we got them last year)

Just want to make sure I have everything covered before going out and buying
the program and finding out that its not compatible with something I should
have checked on before hand, ya know?
