I’m in the process of putting in a ticket with Epicor. (On-prem) We updated our Pilot and Development to 2025.1.8, and the scroll on the grid is broken again. This happens in Quote, Order, Part, Customers, and other places.
This bug has appeared before and was quite a problem for us. This bug is not appearing in 2025.1.5 (current ver. in production).
The bug is a “show-stopper” for us, as our sales team and others would be severely impacted by the performance in searching in their everyday operations.
In a nutshell, after you scroll the first screen (down), it doesn’t, it sometimes, it partially loads data after it. We will be holding off upgrading production to a newer version until this particular bug is squashed.
We have a version at 2025.1.6 as well (not .7) and it’s not doing it either… I’m pretty sure it was introduced in .8 or we would have heard about it by now…
It’s a bummer for us as .8 had a few fixes for us, but the scrolling bug is a no-go for the upgrade for us.
Thanks. I’d be interested to see if any others with .8 have the issue (on-prem). This is happening for us in all of our non-modified layouts as well as our modified ones.
There is now a problem number for this: PRB0301389 and they are saying that it is a known issue. This is a def. QC issue IMHO - this is evident immediately on almost every screen that has a grid. Hopefully, it will be fixed soon.
We just had out Flex 2 upgrade to Pilot and are seeing this. This is a huge issue across the board. All grids, landing pages and dashboards over a page or so are broken.
IMHO this should not have been missed in QC. It’s literally seen on all the grids… it’s not hidden, can’t be missed → disappointing and will cost companies $$$ in time. Hoping for an immediate and quick release of 1.9 with fix or patch, etc.
Yes, I literally wrote them that when they gave me the number in a response to the ticket and I tried to find it… they stated (fwiw):
“That is the correct PRB number. The current status is submitted to development. I recently reported the problem so that may be the reason it’s not listed in the public repository yet. I can update you when I know more.”
PRB0301570 is the one they gave me but then basically closed it last night saying “After review, the issue has been fixed by another ticket, is functioning as expected, or could not be replicated. Relevant information will be provided by development upon closure.”.
This complete BS! We can’t retrieve any data by scrolling in any grid. I don’t even want my upgrade testers to login yet as they are already frustrated enough with the dashboard issues we’ve already been seeing.
FWIW our non-prod environments were updated last night and I can scroll on grids, Quote, Customer, custom dashboard grids all seem to be scrolling fine.
After our PILOT was upgraded to 2025.1.8, I am getting the ‘grid-loading problem’, where:
Smart Client:
TEST1:
Start the Order Tracker.
The grid loads a screenful of rows.
I scroll down for the next screenful of grid entries.
I get the spinning icon for several seconds.
The spinning icon disappears and no data appears.
Scrolling down further (“you aren’t scrolling HARD ENOUGH!!”), then the spinning icon appears again, and then stops. Grid still is blank, but scrolling back up I see that another 15-16 rows loaded. This SCROLL HARDER!! process can be repeated.
TEST2:
Start the custom open order Kinetic dashboard
The grid loads a screenful of rows.
I scroll down for the next screenful of grid entries.
A few more rows may or may not load after several seconds.
Ultimately, it will not load all records.
TEST3: Purchase Order Tracker - same issue as Order Tracker.
TEST4:
Start Part Entry.
Hit search icon for Basic part search.
Search results will load 1-2 screenfuls of parts.
Scrolling down harder may load some more parts, only visible by scrolling back up.
VERY BAD: simply scrolling up/down repeatedly (not fast, just scroll down halfway then back up) can cause different parts to be visible in the grid. These ‘different rows’ are not new rows loading - these are the same sets of rows: sometimes one set of rows appear at the end of the grid, then the other, and then back again to the first, etc., all depending on scrolling up/down repetition. Bizarre.
Browser Client:
TEST1: Order Tracker works as expected.
TEST2: Custom open order Kinetic dashboard works as expected
TEST3: Purchase Order Tracker works as expected.
TEST4: Part Entry basic search works as expected.
