2025.2 Powertools DMT

Been testing Powertools on 2025.2 , DMT in particular.
I am finding that once selecting Process, No progress is shown. 100 records will finally finish in 35 seconds THEN show the error list and that its completed.
Move to 1000 records.
I can see the error log and reprocess files getting created and filled. No progress indication on DMT for 20 min.
Ran again, wait 5 min , 3 finger saluted DMT process ( Ctrl, Alt DEL to bring up Task Manager and kill DMT Process) . All the records ran ( reading Logs)
All tests ran just changing Net Weight.

Has anyone else seen this ??
Support can not recreate it.

Was the server processing tick box ticked?

This uses the standard UpdateExt endpoint and sends batches of records to the server for processing. Therefore you will not get an update in the UI until a batch has been processed and response processed.

There’s a Powertools for each version of Kinetic (2025.2.3,2025.2.4,2025.2.5,…) Do they match with the installed version?

Just because you have powertools you don’t have to use it for dmt, install the client and test the version of dmt. Exe from there.

Reinstalled, Better but ran for 1:24, no indication of progress till Part 1 Finished popup. , couldnt minimize window while running. Ran both DMT.exe and DMT64.exe.
Guess it is what it is.

12.1.100.6 came out yesterday, but Cloud won’t see an update until .7 IIRC.

Interesting, didn’t realize they added this feature. Although, if Service Connect has taught me anything it’s to avoid UpdateExt :slight_smile:

It is not on all the DMT programs

And yes update ext has been notoriously bad. However it is getting better. Sales Order for example is a lot better and usable. Used it a few times in automation studio.

We haven’t used Powertools yet, but I have had this occur occasionally in the DMT program. Good news, it runs all the records. Bad news it looks like the program is frozen until all of a sudden it just shows complete.
