403D - Finding records with null dates using a BAQ

Sometimes an empty string field works also, double quotes with nothing
in them """".

Thanks a million Mathew. Comparing to an unused UD date field did the
trick.

I have seen in the Progress language the ? used to find null. You
might also be able to match some date column is that is always null
like Date10 or something.

I think I'm missing something ovious here:

What is the BAQ syntax for finding (as an example) JobHead.JobNum where JobHead.StartDate = null (in other words, the Job is not yet scheduled)?

The phrase builder seems to block entry of a date field critieria comparison to null (no date yet established).

Any help appreciated.

Thx
