I tried to use 8.0 and it would not work with 5.20. We already had 8.5 because we had a maintenance agreement for Crystal. CR 9.0 is available so getting an upgrade to 8.5 might be a problem. You might have to buy 9.0 and request an 8.5 disk from Crystal Decisions. I have not heard yet whether 9.0 is OK with Vantage 5.20.
If you have customized any reports that came with Vantage be sure to save them all in a seperate folder. The 5.2 install will replace any reports with the same name so your customized versions may be wiped out. You would have to copy each customized report from the saved location to the default folder (after renaming the 5.20 version to preserve the standard report). Or, re-customize the 5.20 standard report. Depending on what version you are converting from you may need to verify the database for the DBF files in your custom version in case there are field changes.

HI,
If we switch to 5.2 version of vantage do we have to save all the
crystal reports to 8.5 version.
Epicor does not provide crystal report 8.5 so do we have to buy it or
iwe can still use crystal report 8.0.
