6.1 Fonts

Hmm,
Have not tried it on TS, I would expect you can put it in the profile and it
would work. I have to admit that I have not tried it, and can't say for
sure.

Thanks for the tips. We plan on implementing 6.1 via terminal server.
How does this affect putting the .ini and .mfg files on the local
client? Would we put the files within each clients profile?

Sorry, I'm not normally an IT person...

Thanks,

Kelly

Has anyone changed the fonts in 6.1 back to what they were in 6.0?
Specifically, font 18, 23, and 24?

Any drawbacks or problems?

Yup, no problems to date.

That is not to certify it problem free, we are not officially hitting
6.1 until mid next week.

During 6.1 testing, I noticed that the font used in 6.1 appears to be
different than the 6.0 font. From browsing this board, I can remember
people have problems with the new font...

Can any confirm this?

Thanks,

kelly
You will then see:

font23=??????
font24=??????

The ??? representing what the current font is. Replace what is there with the following:

font23=FixedSys
font24=FixedSys

Think seriously about putting the mfgsys.ini file on the local drive as well
as the .mfg files. This has benefit in several areas, allowing specific
fonts for specific users, and also allows report builder to bring up their
last opened report and library vs. the last one that was opened by anyone in
the company. Also, if you happen to botch an install (type the server name
wrong) it will not affect the users with the .ini and .mfg local.
Just another tip from another user.

The out of the box font for Vantage 6.1 is crap. You have to make font
number 23 and 24 = "FixedSys" ...I think it's the Vantage.ini file...This
will fix the font problem.
