We are looking to upgrade from 9.05.604A to 9.05.702a. I noticed in reviewing the documents I downloaded from epicweb it mentions a CD Kit for 9.05.700, when I looked under downloads for Epicor 9 on epicweb I didn’t see a down-loadable file for the 9.05.700 upgrade. Do we need to contact epicor to get the CD? Seems strange they don’t have it available as a download given almost everything is online nowadays.
I did an upg from 9.05.607A to 702A. I didnt use the 700 CD.
Actually, I installed 702 from a clean install and converted my 607A DB. I cant point you to the files because EPICWEB is not granting me access right now.
The install files are there. The base install is called SPxxxx depends on which version you want, SQL, SQL Unicode, linux etc. The PAxxx file is the 702a patch.

The only files beginning with “SP” under the 9.05.700 download explorer are “SP905702” files(see attached pictures). I need to go from 9.05.604 to 9.05.700 first, and then do the patch install to 9.05.702, at least that is what the epicor upgrade guide says and why I am asking about the 9.05.700 install CD.

Thanks for the pointer, yes archive had the file. Now while on epicweb I noticed that there are other patches after our current version (9.05.604) such as 9.05.606, will we need to update to the .606 version before going to .700? Also once we get .700 installed, we can then just install the .702a patch correct? As it should be a cumulative update I assume?
Can anyone comment on my above post asking about the patch question I have? We are getting ready to start our upgrade today and would appreciate any help.
You can go straight to 702 unless the upgrade instructions fro 702 say otherwise.

Apply 9.05.702 service pack / full install.
Apply 9.05.702a patch.
Schema change from 9.05.60x to 9.05.70x.
Launch mandatory db conversions (admin tools) to upgrade data to 9.05.702a.
Apply updated 9.05.70x license. If memory serves, we changed the name of a module between 9.05.60x and 9.05.70x - demand management/edi maybe?. So, if you haven’t requested a new 9.05.70x license from Customer Service, I would recommend doing so just in case if you plan on using your database at 9.05.70x. If you plan on migrating to 10.x immediately after upgrading to 9.05.702a then this step can be ignored.
