Has anybody ran into this or knows how to solve it? The problem isn’t in any of the setup because browser login works fine. But the client no longer works after the domain migration.
Everything looks right in the config file.
Sorry, that’s all I got…hopefully someone else can chime in to help you out.
Looks like you have Auto Logon setup.
When you initially configure Auto Logon for the Smart Client, it saves a “Secret” on the local machine that incorporates the Domain, machine name, and Windows User. If any of those are no longer valid, Auto Logon will fail.
You need to have the User manually logon and then reset the Auto Logon option.
Do you have instructions on how to do this? Manually logon how? Reset autologon how?
Best to open a Support case on this.
I did, no response yet, meanwhile entire company is down. Nothing in the knowledge base either.

uncheck and click ok
close open
After it is good then you can recheck auto sign in, close open and it will resave.
Maybe a lead, maybe not…
In Azure Portal, go to the App Registrations for Epicor Client section (which should be already registered based on the New Install Guide in the Chapter Register Client Application)
Next , click on Authentication on the left panel.
In the Platform Configuration interface, ensure that only the Mobile and Desktop Application is configured with the Redirect URI of https://localhost
If you have any others Redirect URI setup for the Web type, please remove them.
But if the user can’t log on, how are they supposed to get to that?
That doesn’t look like the error we are getting and like I said browser logon works fine which means there is nothing wrong in the Azure setup
Good point. In the config is the saved encrypted password and auto login is true.
Set them like this
Hate to suggest it…but maybe uninstall/reinstall (and thus reconfig) the client on one machine?
We’re browser-only except for some Citrix use for items not yet browser-ized…so I’m out of my depth here. Some might even say I’m shallow.
We have already done this. If only…
We opened a case a few hours ago. No answer yet.
Sorry…wish I had something else for ya…
Just wish somebody could tell us where the “secret” is saved so we can clear it. Its not in C:\Epicor or C:\ProgramData\Epicor
@aosemwengie1 so it is not in the .config file? There is an Azure section there also.
Did you tell them you were down on support?
