BAQ Report Filter searches, Parity issues

Just a heads up and complaint.

Say you have some existing BAQ Reports, that need to be moved from the classic form to the kinetic one. Some of the searches that worked in classic, do not exist in Kinetic.

Things like Customer_CustNum & Vendor_VendorNum. Probably a few others as well.

Now, there was a fix for this, that wasn’t awful, but it could be depending on how many you have, or where in the BAQ these fields are.

I went to the BAQs and added Customer_CustID and Vendor_VendorID etc to the BAQs in addition to the others. I then had to go to the BAQ Report Designer and remove the old filters, and add the new ones, and then generate the application from the menu.

Functionality restored, but a pain in the ass. The searches worked in classic just fine, they should have been built into the kinetic search widget.

Ran into that one myself today uplifting a BAQ report.

No clue about classic conversion but wonder if the prob is at all related to the fact that kinetic forms generate with an obsolete value-set action rather than the newer search-value-set action.
