The BOM listing report is a built in report in Vantage. Short of doing
custom program, there is now way to manipulate the format of the report.
Does anybody have any idea on how to recreate this report in Report Builder
or does anybody have a Report Builder report already created for the BOM?
All we are trying to accomplish is to have the report print out only the
Assemblies and not the materials. This would be a simple one line filter in
Report Builder. I know we can pull it into excel but we want to avoid that.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I am looking for some help with creating a Bill of Materials report for our
jobs. The Job Pick report we use as what we call the Count Sheet. Most of
our jobs have sub-assemblies and it is very common for each sub-assembly to
include the same item. We need to create a report for each job that would
total all the items that would be included for the job. For instance, if we
have 3 sub assemblies and each one includes 1 - 1001, I would like the Bill
of Materials report to show us needing 3 of the 1001s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are using ABOM and have a part master there, one of the reports
available under ABOM will total up the usage for a given part throughout an
indented BOM for the given quantity of top level part you input.

Lori,

We are still operating under 3.0 and we have similar job structures. We
created two material reports and one job structure report. It makes the
jobs much more understandable when you can see the whole job,
indentured, with all the material requirements. The job structure
report shows the job as structured with the quantity/parent of each
assembly. The material requirements reports show the material needs by
assembly and the material requirements by part number, with the similar
items together and quantities totaled. Send an e-mail and I will get
you a copy by the end of the week.
