On the Report builder line item enable conditional printing. Create a
calculated field that uses PartMtl.seq The calculated formula should
look like this:
IIF(PartMtl.Seq > 0 , true , false) Set your condition to print if
false. That should prevent any material lines from printing, and you
should get your performance back when you remove the filter.

I recently posted a question about BOM reports. I had several people
reply with their own reports. One in particular almost matched the
Indented BOM listing report built into vantage. This report printed the
full BOM for the top level component including all the subassemblies and
their subassemblies. That report was beautiful. Unfortunately my
dilemma is this. I need to filter out all the raw material in those
reports and only show the assemblies. I can do this by filtering by
'View as assembly'. The problem is the report has 15 different joins to
the same tables to gather the information at the different levels of a
BOM and adding a filter for each level brings the report to a crawl.
Is there another option to get this information? What I want is a
report that would give me the full BOM for a part excluding the raw
materials. There is a PartBom table use as a temp table for the
Indented Part BOM. Is there a way to populate it and tap into it? Do I
need to look into custom programming to get this information.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
