Blank Start Dates and Due Dates After MRP Run on 8.0

Hi Mark,
We do not have any custom programs installed. We have been looking into our data, specifically errors we have been receiveing regarding “effective” dates and the “obsolete” dates, to see if that may have an effect on the MRP issues. We are still on 809C. I think we may stay here for a bit, we cannot afford to go back to having errors which crash our server again. For now we are adding dates manually.

the system to read the custom versions of these programs (which were
created before 809c) before the new versions. We have taken them out
and started another mrp run to see if it schedules. This has fixed
the problem of the jobs not scheduling, but now the same errors have
come back in the server log that I mentioned in another post, errors
which you said you also had before 809c.

I was curious as to whether anyone else has seen this problem. After
installing patch 809c and running MRP regen, all the unfirm jobs
created have blank start dates and due dates on both the job header and
the job operations. Installed 809d and still the same thing.

Anyone else seen this problem?
We also have this problem. We are on 809C.

I wondered if I would hear from you on this subject. :)

So we traded our server log errors for no scheduling, huh. I think I
would rather have the errors back.

Us too. Any word on when 809E is due out? :)

Just installed 809D today.

Did a regen on MRP and all my unfirm jobs have dates.

No idea about 809e. They were promising 809d since early last week
and it was just released yesterday afternoon.(Oct 5).

We are working with a guy from Epicor who said this was a problem
with 808 but that it had been fixed. He sounded surprised to find we
were having the problem and even more surprised when I told him at
least one other user on the forum had the same thing happening. He
says this problem is his top project today.

Are you selecting Global Finite Scheduling as part of the MRP Regen?
We do not use this option, but I suspect if I selected it we would
get dates. I can manually bring up a job and schedule it with no
problem.
