Blank Title 8188

The way we set up our jobs is to pull in a template with all our assembly
operations as ASM 0. This line has no subassemblies or materials under it.
ASMSEQ 1 is the actual top assembly for the job.

We don't put in operations on our assemblies on the part master end.
Because our some of our jobs have dozens of different subassemblies, and
because we rarely sell the individual subassemblies on our custom machines
to customers, we made the decision to charge all our assembly operations to
the top level. However, all our fab parts have operations attached to them.

The report our Operations Manager wants to see will list the top level
assembly operations, but will list just the totals for in-house fab,
subcontract fab, and material costs.

Essentially the report is a summary, but needs to address the individual
lines of the top assembly job operations.

Thad:

Is there a reason that you don't use the summary only version of Vantage's
existing Production Detail Report? That might put you out of your misery,
and it is current with data collection, purchasing and so - on, plus gives a
nice little comparison between actual and estimated... If you do the
summary, select one job and it takes about two seconds to print.

Just an idea from the trenches.

Yes, I know the print is small.

I'm having some trouble writing a particular reportbuilder report.

What I want to do is to list, for a particular job, list the total in-house
operations cost and hours, the total subcontract cost and hours, and the
total cost of materials. I am using JobOper to pull the Operations costs,
linking it to the JobHead, the master table, by Jubnum.

This works fine, until I try to link the materials table to JobNum. When I
do so, I get duplicate operation entries, one duplicate for every material
line.

Am I using the wrong master table? Is there any way to get a materials
total cost on the same Reportbuilder Report with operations total cost?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Thaddeus
