We input the blanket order with the date(s) of all known releases and
then assign a date of 01/01/2050 for the balance. As new releases are
made, we update the sales order.
This allows us to prevent loading the shop with orders that are not
firm, and see the total dollar value of blanket orders in Executive
Analysis - Shop Vision - Order Backlog, since they all come up under
the 01/01/2050 date.
The only down side was the Sales Order Acknowledgement printing this
date, but I'm sure there's a way to have it print "Hold For Release"
or some other language instead.
