Can "serial number" validation check be disabled in regards to J

If there is no serial number required for the finished part, make sure the part record does not have the "track serial" box checked.  Otherwise if the part made by the job requires a serial number, it must be generated and entered.

In Epicor9.05.702A, there seems to be some kind of “serial # validation” check when we go to close a job.   We get a popup message on some jobs that say something to the likes of “x” serial numbers required but “y” serial numbers assigned when we attempt to close the job and it will not close.  Our Vantage8 system that we upgraded from recently didn’t seem to have this check.  Is there any way around this?

There is a reason why it is saying that.... So no there is no way to bypass that, the better solution would be to fix the data issue or issue the serial numbers properly
