Serial Numbers "grayed out" on subcontractor shipment entry scre

One issue we had back on Vantage 8 was that the BOM had been set up incorrectly, and the subcontract POs showed the material part number (not serial tracked) as being sent out instead of the finished good part number (which was serial tracked).

Hi all,

 

Can anyone shed some light on why our “serial number” button on the “lines” tab of Subcontract shipment entry would be grayed out for a particular job/lot?  I’ve verified the job has serial numbers but it won’t let me select the button.  Anyone have any idea what might cause this?
