You can't access the Epicor.Mfg.Rpt.* dlls as web services, only the
Epicor.Mfg.Bo.* ones.
In Vantage 8 I've printer packing slips from service connect by using a
BAM to do the actual print job. This worked very well for awhile. In a
recent patch Epicor changed some of the logic in the system monitor and
I had to be very creative to get it working again. After that struggle
I'm not sure if I'll use a BAM again the next time I need to do this, or
come up with a cleaner method.
Either way I think you'll usually run into System Monitor issues with
printing from service connect. The system monitor is what actually
launches Crystal to print the report, and Service Connect doesn't have a
System Monitor.
It might be possible to avoid this problem in a E9 install by using the
server side Crystal runtime that the web client uses.
Good luck!
