I have an interesting situation where EDD was installed on Epicor 10. We were upgraded to Kinetic, and for some reason the Kinetic SaaS EDD was pointed to our E10 instance. So for example, if you click the EDD button, you wouldn’t go to *.epicorsaas.com/edd, you would go to the Internal EDD instance of our E10 which is a completed different FQDN. I had a case opened with Epicor and they resolved the issue by pointing EDD at the Kinetic SaaS instance. This then broke all of our Layouts as they have EDD entries that were still the E10 layouts that were pointed to the E10 instance. I cleaned this all up by creating new layouts and new graphs in Kinetic that match that of our E10. And they all have new names.
I do have a problem though. There are 4 layouts that are in a broken state now as a result of this.
2 Layouts say they are assigned to users, let’s call these Layouts, ‘Default’ and ‘Metrics’ for ease of naming conventions
I created a BAQ to pull who was marked as the created user for, logged in as that user and I still cannot delete them. I also created a BAQ to pull who all has what Layout assigned to them (LayOutsAssigned.txt), and I do not see anyone with the above Layouts assigned.
I then created a BAQ to see who was tagged as creating two layouts above (WhoCreatedLayout.txt). I then logged in as that user and attempted to delete the Layout, but I get the same error.
I also have 2 other Layouts say “Record not found” when I attempt to delete them, Let’s call these Layouts ‘Executive’ and ‘Marketing’
I used the same BAQ (WhoCreatedLayout.txt) to see if a record exists and it does. Did something happen between the migration of these Layouts from E10 to Kinetic? Is there some connection missing between the DB and the UI that is not linking these together?
In summary, no one is assigned these Layouts (that I can see), and why would Kinetic say a record does not exist when I can see it? Also, I am not on the Layout when I am trying to delete it, I made sure of that as well.
