We attach jpegs of receipts to expense entries in Time and Expense Entry.
When the approval person clicks to view them, Epicor automatically opens with ‘Photos’ (in Windows 10) which usually times-out and crashes without opening the file.
(It does this outside of Epicor also).
Can I amend the settings in Epicor to open jpeg attachments in paint or another alternative/
Have looked in company configuration, but can’t see anything about programs to open files.
Also looked at Document Type Maintenance, which comes up blank on ‘search all’
As does Document Type Control
Same for document association
Can anyone help please!

We simply use the Windows associated program for that file extension if there isn’t an override set within the application.
If you would rather not have XYZ program open 123 file extension, set a different default program within Windows to open that file extension.
Have the user right-click a .jpg file on their workstation, and select Open With > choose another app.
Select the program that is already installed that they wish to use to display .jpg files, and check the box for “Always use this app to open .jpg files”. If there isn’t a program already installed that they wish to use, download and install it, and then repeat this process.
