Compiling .p in E9

Okay, this was fixed internally.  Just have to connect to a database and edit these things.

So I downloaded the Appbuilder trial in order to change some of the Electronic Interface files for E9, and it seems like I'm having trouble setting up the environment.  I've added the right pro path, made the changes I want, and go to compile, but it seems like the compiler can't find some files or the MFGSYS db.  I probably have to make a connection first, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Any quick tricks to getting the environment set up correctly?

You don't need the AppBuilder to compile .r files. You can use the Procedure Editor to do this.

You can really screw up your database if you don't know what you are doing. Have you called support about your issue?

Hey Ted,

I did call support but they keep throwing me to consulting.  Where can I find the procedure editor?  Is this on the mainserver?
In OpenEdge Data Administration under the Tools menu is the Procedure Editor. If you have to do this, I would recommend running on a test environment first.

Ahh, I've tried running the tool before but I get an error saying "msgopen: unable to open message file: PROMSGS"

I have our internal IT looking at that.

And yes, all my changes have been in a test environment.
