We have an automated process that imports the jobs and closes them after shipping. While I am working with our partner to get this fixed, I have thousands of jobs that need to have the BOM material consumed. What is the best way to this via DMT?
By “consumed” you mean issued (consumed from inventory and material costs land on the job)?
Assuming you can DMT against “Issue Material”. But you’ll have to be very specific on quantities and to/from sequences.
ToJobNum, ToAssemblySeq, ToJobSeq
FromWarehouseCode, FromBinNum, etc.
Worth testing in Pilot.
You can do this VIA DMT as @dcamlin mentioned. Depending on your situation you might be able to use Mass Issue to Mfg
This lets you issue material in bulk to a searchable list of jobs.
If you are simply backflushing the quantities on the job, you can do this en masse with the Job Closing DMT. And no, you don’t need to complete or close the job to backflush the material.
You do need to report a quantity (Time Entry) to the final op of the jobs first. (If you DMT this, too, use TE Labor Detail No Header.)
But after that, you can check the backflush box like you would in Job Closing.
Yes, I am wanting the material in the BOM to be pulled out of inventory. We should be able to see the transaction in Part Tran. Right now our process is just showing transaction on the FG and not the material part.
