OK we are interested in using container entry and landed costs. However I am being told that we need the product to be on our books as inventory while this product is in transit.
Currently we use a PO and then also enter a transfer order shipment/receipt to show the product is in transit from overseas to the destination plant. The overseas site is a virtual site setup just to indicate the shipment has happened and to show the in transit product as inventory.
Interested in how others may be doing this. Thanks.
