Context menu -- capture the parameter in a new form?

Working on the same issue trying to get the Part Number to pass to Cost Adjustment from a Context Menu Item added to Part.PartNum

 How did you get it to work?

Does anyone know if the parameter for a context menu can be captured in the form that the context menu opens?  For instance, if I right-click Open With... on a part number field filled with XXX and choose Part Tracker, then Part Tracker will open with PN XXX filled in.  Can I get XXX in the new form in those instances when Epicor doesn't use the parameter to generate a dataview?  There are several forms, for instance Internal Part Cross Reference, where the form doesn't "take" the context parameter and so the form always opens blank.  I'd like to be able to process the parameter with custom code.  We're running 9.05.606.
