Context Menu Items on Gridview only appearing randomly

My first task as an Epicor Developer is to mimick a Search dashboard that failed to migrate over to Kinetic recently. I do not have access to things like Context Menu Maintenance, but I can create BAQs, dashboards, etc.

Everything is working perfectly except for the right click buttons. No matter what I try, the right click buttons have only occurred maybe 5 times out of ~300 tests.

What you see there is exactly what I want to happen. I’ve tried to use “Custom Context Menu” to create all of these myself. It’s difficult to create a link to a page using the JSON structures and contexts – there has to be an easier way where it just populates automatically.

I’ve tried to use every suggestion on this forum, from YouTube, the manuals I received at the Epicor conference last May, AI, etc. I’m honestly stuck and could use some help.

To summarize, how are you guys getting those right click menu items to appear on your gridviews?

Hi, I am trying to add a custom context menu to a grid. I have added the context menu to the field through the data view. [image] I created an event (event ID added to the custom context menu) [image] The Launch options are: { "options": { "valueIn": "{HDCaseList.HDCaseNum}" } } The slide out panels opens after clicking the context menu option but the case number doesnt populate with the valueIn value.

Thank you for sharing those links. Without visibility into the bug you referenced, is it related to the default context menu not appearing?

Because even if I do what Hannah suggests, I still do not get the context menu items.

That bug is from 2021. Does Epicor usually take 3 or 4 years to fix a bug that is affecting most customers? Should I stop trying to use the default context menu icons? Is that what you’re saying?

(I don’t necessarily know the path forward because I’m new to Epicor development. I don’t know if we just accept something doesn’t work and move on.)
