Copy / Paste in Kinetic UX

Just moved some more forms from Classic to Kinetic. One of them is Purchase Advisor. User comes back with “but I can’t right-click and copy or paste in the part number field”.

Look it over, and sure enough, the right-click is hijacked with a bunch of context menu stuff. No ‘Copy’, no ‘Paste’. Create a new layer to see if I can enable those options. No dice.

Am I missing something? Control-C and Control-V work, but my users “don’t like that”.

Unfortunately, I don’t know of a way around it (unless someone out there has found a way to program around it).

The right-click defaults to the “context menu” functionality within the Kinetic UX and the standard right-click copy/paste functionality is gone.

Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V is the only path forward, as far as I know.

That is what I’m seeing too. I wonder if @josecgomez, @hmwillett, or @timshuwy have discovered a way around this fact?

@bconner is there a way that we could add copy/paste into the context menu across all apps?

There’s an idea out there for it… just hasn’t gained much traction. About 2 yrs old.

In my browser, if you hold shift and right click you get the standard context menu with paste and not the custom one. However, if ctrl + c / ctrl + v aren’t acceptable for them, I don’t know if this work around would be either.
