CorVu Use

CorVu is bought from Epicor.
Talk w/ your Customer Rep

As for the difficulty in learning it....
I have extensive database background
yet 2 other employees picked it up w/o db background.
Even one of our Sales-people uses it to create queries.

I do recommend the classes.
We went to Minneapolis, CorVu headquarters.
Excellent classes

We use CorVu extensively.
It is replacing Report Builder for the many inquiries into specific data
that departments want.
We have built multiple menus with buttons for Production, Sales, Financial
and Marketing.
We query such things as yields, shipments by specific part ranges, hours
compared to production,
worst part of the month, rush orders, etc.

It is odd to learn but very quick to find info.

In prep for Vantage 8, and the disappearance of Report Builder, we are
moving many RB reports to CorVu instead of Crystal.

There is a CorVu list with minimal activity but some good advice

We have Corvu and I was wondering if someone could tell me what its purpose
is? I can't seem to find any sales info about it on Epicors website.
Thanks
Jeremy

Babette,

Just curious. Why would you use CorVu over Crystal Reports? When you say you have built multiple menus for queries - are you doing that in Vantage?

Thanks

Juliet
