Customer Price Lists

We actually only have one warehouse. Oh well...chalk it up to another
weird bizarre glitch, but thanks for the offer.

Thanks to all those who tried to help. At least I know it isn't my set
up. We are just going to make sure everyone pays attention to the price
list on every line of every order and make sure it isn't blank.

It's all I can do until we move to E9 and hope there isn't a bizarre
glitch there as well.

The other option I can think of, without actually looking at the setup,
is the warehouse selection in the price list maintenance. Have you
applied the correct warehouse(s)? Outside of that I may not be much help
unless you want to take screenshots of your setup and private message
them to me. Then I can try to replicate it in a test environment.

I have a basic question about Price Lists. Im not sure if I set it up
right, or if there is a bug in vantage. I am using 407. I set up a price
list with a product group selected and a discount amount applied to that
product group. I then went into Customer maintenance and added the price
list to the customer bill to. When I create an order with that customer,
and add a part in my product group, my discount is not applied. Am I doing
something wrong? We have different discounts based upon purchased support
packages, so I wanted to be able to change my discount in the price list for
all the customers that have that discount package. Support was no help, and
couldn't tell me why you can add the price list to the customer, but were
convinced it was "working as designed"

So something weird just happened to us maybe someone can shed some light
on this.

We use customer price lists extensively. We just created a SO where we
have no idea where the price came from because the part number was not
on the price list.

So the question is would the system pull pricing from older Sales
orders? Or where else does pricing come from? Is there a hierarchy
involved somehow?

Our Price Lists are associated to the customer, not the ship to address.

I guess what I meant was that customer can have multiple price lists and
a price list can have the product group on it without a list of parts.

Check the price list(s) for that customer.

If the price is not from the price list, make sure you didn't bring the
line in from the quote as it will bring in that price and make sure the
part itself does not have a selling price.

This could be any number of things, a couple of ideas off the top of my head include:

1. Variation in currency between Customer, Price List, S.O., Quote, Etc. could cause this not to work
2. Ship to. Since the Price List in the Customer file is based off of ship to and you have multiple ship to addresses for that customer could cause it not to work too
3. Of course there could be a price list overriding a price list depending on how you set them up.

Also, are you using percentage or amount for your discount type?

you set that up? I highly doubt it since I am the one who set this up,

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
We have it set up to discount off list prices.

First you need a discount group (price Group Maintenance)
There, you will add all product groups that will be discounted off their list prices.

You also need to set up price lists that dont list any items, (we call them discount schedules as they dont hold prices only discount structures), you will add the product groups, quantity break (we use 1 as we would always apply the discount if the customer belongs to that group),& the discount to apply to this product group.

We then set up a number of customer groups, (Customer Group Maintenance) There, you will add the price lists that are avaialble for that group. (the discount schedule price list need to be first on the selected list).

I have a word document that goes through the set up. If I can locate it, I post it to the files section of this board.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Definitely would love to see that...just to make sure that I did not set
up something inadvertently!

If you don't mind sending it off list would be great too, that is when
you find it! :-)

We have it set up to discount off list prices.

First you need a discount group (price Group Maintenance)
There, you will add all product groups that will be discounted off their
list prices.

You also need to set up price lists that dont list any items, (we call
them discount schedules as they dont hold prices only discount
structures), you will add the product groups, quantity break (we use 1
as we would always apply the discount if the customer belongs to that
group),& the discount to apply to this product group.

We then set up a number of customer groups, (Customer Group Maintenance)
There, you will add the price lists that are avaialble for that group.
(the discount schedule price list need to be first on the selected
list).

I have a word document that goes through the set up. If I can locate it,
I post it to the files section of this board.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
The other option I can think of, without actually looking at the setup, is the warehouse selection in the price list maintenance. Have you applied the correct warehouse(s)? Outside of that I may not be much help unless you want to take screenshots of your setup and private message them to me. Then I can try to replicate it in a test environment.
