Create a tracker view on your dashboard using the date field you want for the range. Check Honor Prompts and then use greater than or equal to for that field. After you create the tracker field, right click and select customize tracker view. From the toolbox menu, select date/time combo box and add it to your tracker view next to your date range. In the customization properties, select the field and then for is tracker query control select = True. It will then open up the fields you want to use. Select the date field you originally used in your tracker. Under honor dashboard prompts select True and then set your compare to less than or equal to.

Close out of customization view and on your tracker your will have a date range

You have a Date Already I assume?
If so
Simply
Add a BAQ Calc Field to your BAQ for the same Date so you'll have

OriginalDate
BAQCalcDate

Then do in teh Dasjabord where
YourDate > OriginalDate AND YourDate < BAQCalcDate

In the dashboard, add a tracker view that will have the starting and
ending date you want.

Look at any live dashboard to see the required settings as far as the
controls are concerned.

When I added the tracker view I could only pick the book date to appear once
and the choices did not include a Range; only = <> <= etc.

So I did what another post has just suggested and added a calculated field
with just that book date field in the formula so it would appear twice in
the tracker view. When I entered a valid date range and previewed, the grid
went blank - I had several records showing in that date range when I
previewed without a date filter.



I did post that situation here previously and someone noted that same
problem (Filtering by calculated fields) described as a bug that may or may
not have been fixed.

Funny, I had this exact same question last week. I actually tried adding a calculated field for a 2nd occurence of the date in the BAQ, that I could use for my ending (<=) date parameter. However, the calculcated fields were not listed/available in my Dashboard Tracker View.

What one of our consultants told me to do, was create the Tracker View with the date for the first prompt, setting it for the Greater/Equal to prompt. Then, go into Customize Tracker view and added the Less/Equal prompt.
