In early October 2024 we began to experience a new issue in our Cloud Hosted Epicor/Kinetic Environment where we cannot use any changes made in the Functions Maintenance screen until a full App Pool Recycle has been completed by Epicor. I still have an outstanding EpicCare ticket for this issue, but no resolution (and frankly no hope for a resolution) has been given in over 6 months now. We are still dealing with this issue. See linked Problem Case # PRB0288709 related to the issue we are experiencing.
We have tried escalating the case, tried other tickets, tried getting help from Epicor, weâve tried everything. Iâve tried backchannels via other experienced Epi Users, but all to no avail. We still have the issue and no explanation from Epicor, and clearly no resolution, not even discussion of a pending resolution.
To make matters worse, when we ask for a scheduled App Pool Recycle, it sometimes takes up to 4 days to have it processed. Sometimes they say its scheduled for a requested evening, then the ticket is updated stating that they couldnât perform the recycle with no reason given, and alas our development is pushed out another day.
I have really lost hope that our issues will ever be resolved through the EpicCare channel or otherwise with Epicor. I am resorting to Epi-Users to see if there are ANY competent Epicor Employees that browse these forums who can help get our environments straightened out. This is a hail-Mary attempt, probably fruitless, but I figured itâs worth a shot.
Any development requiring Epicor Functions (which is most development these days), takes us days to weeks what would normally take hours. I find this situation completely untenable and unacceptable, but there seems to be shockingly no path to resolution for our issues. We are a cloud hosted SaaS customer so we have no control over the backend set up of our environments.
If you work for Epicor and think you can help out my company, please reach out to me either on this thread or direct message me and I can give you more information. I will take literally any help I can get at this point.
Edit: We are able to access to the cloud management portal for now, so thatâs a great start. Hoping to get regular Functions Maintenance working as intended anyhow but this will get me moving a bit faster at least. Also want to specify that I am sure the folks who tried to help us did all they could in past months; Iâm not sure those Epicor employees hold any sway to fix backend issues like this. The intention of this post is not to place blame on any particular party but rather to find a much-needed solution.
