Has anyone notice that if you have an open DMR and you Reject a part (this only happens when you reject) once your on the Reject tab and fill in detail and comments then go back to the header it automatically closes.
We have been manually reopening them since we still have other info we fill out.
Is this how it should work?
I believe it is “working as designed” but the design doesn’t quite meet your needs… The design matches how many of the modules work… Example, when you ship the last item on a sales order, the order automatically closes… when you receive the last item on a PO the PO Automatically closes.
It would probably be possible to disable this automation… I am assuming that you require some additional field on the DMR to be populated… First thing I would try is to add an in-trans Data BPM that looks for the dmr status flag being changed from open to closed… in that BPM, if your other field(s) are not yet populated… then the BPM could reverse the setting back to open just prior to saving.
Is it safe to assume that it will close it when all are rejected that are on the DMR if you did not reject all of them I would guess the DMR would stay open.
It should stay open if only partially dispositioned… ie… if there are 10 on the DMR, and you disposition 7, there are still 3 left, and the DMR will still remain open. When you disposition the last 3, it will close.
