Do not schedule before today

Hello Epicor community,
We are rollng out job scheduling and working through the process. We have hundreds of jobs already scheduled and several already have some work completed. i am noticing when i run global scheduling, it is scheduling operations to be completed before today. in company configuration, the ‘allow global scheduling before today’ check box is NOT checked. is there any ideas as to why the scheduling is still scheduling operations before today. Thank you all.

There are multiple things to check. Are the jobs that are scheduled before today have their schedule locked? Are you globally rescheduling started operations?

Let us know and we can continue to dig.

thank you for the reply. I checked and none of the schedules are locked. Global scheduling does not have “allow global rescheduling” checked either.

If you do not want anything in the past, you need to turn on Globally Reschedule Started Operations. Otherwise, they will always stay on the day they were started.

Ok that makes sense. It seems to be working with that change. I also, somehow, was running global scheduling to start today, but I found that I need to start it in the past in order for it to reschedule old open partially completed jobs to start today or after, not starting in the past. Seems obvious now, but took me a while to figure out! thanks.
